Swedish Embroidery

I took a class in Swedish Embroidery last night. It was a lot of fun, if you ever have the opportunity, go for it. There were five of us and we were a little overwhelmed in the beginning, but after we got started - we all took off like Gang Busters....

The Embroidery is done on Huck toweling, with Pearl #5 thread (floss). Very easy to work with. You use a #20 tapestry needle. I added some ecru cotton lace that I picked up at the thrift store (4 1/2 yards for $.99).

Hi Diana, It's Molly from WW. I started a blog last fall and needed some encouragement to really work on it. You gave me that. Thanks. I really enjoy your blog.

I hope that you have your new machine by now and are cranking out projects. I enjoy sewing so much.

My husband got me my 1st embroidery machine 2 years before he passed. Told me it was time for me to get something big. Always we put everyone else before us... I did trade up one model later.

I live about hr. and 1/2 from Nancys Notions, the [Sewing with Nancy] pbs show. Am going to 3 day sewing seminar April 30, May 1 and 2nd. Have gone many years. It's so much fun. Ladies from all over U.S. and they all talk our language.....
Take care, Molly
